Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, George returned to Orkney with his parents before 1794. In 1815 he returned , married and became the first Clouston to settle on Tyneside. His death is still shrouded in mystery despite the researchers who have attempted to find it. It is assumed he died at sea circa 1849-50.
